A
nthony Whitehall has twenty-two years experience
in sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry, garnered
with Burroughs Wellcome Inc. and its morphological changes
through merger as GlaxoWellcome and then GlaxoSmithKline.
His last position was
the District Sales Manager for the South Caribbean. A graduate
of several sales training programmes, including Xerox's
Professional Selling Skills System III, he completed the
Certificate in Applied Training and Development at the Institute
of Business, University of the West Indies. He is certified
as trainer/facilitator for Dimensional Sales Training®
(Psychological Associates Inc., U.S.A) and Essential Selling
Practices. He is also a graduate of the CoveyTM Leadership
Center and the Dale Carnegie® Training Institute.
In 1990 Anthony was awarded The Academic Achievement Award
from The Council for the Accreditation of Pharmaceutical
Manufacturers' Representatives of Canada. He is one of only
two persons in the Caribbean to have ever received this
award.
Anthony enjoys working with young people, having spent all
of his adult life as an officer in the Trinidad and Tobago
Cadet Force, motivating and developing self-esteem, teamwork
and leadership among the nation's youths.
He has attained the rank
of Major, and has held several appointments in the Cadet
Force and is currently the Cadet Force's Public Relations
Officer. He is the recipient of the National Service Award
for service to Trinidad and Tobago during the period of
national crisis in 1990.
Anthony has recently started his own business Wave Dynamics
specializing in sales and leadership training, strategic
marketing and market research.
