Staff Development

Staff Development is obviously the key to the success of any organisation. No employee comes into the organisation already one hundred percent ready to perform at top level. If they are to carry out core functions, employees must learn institutional history, and what the standards and values inherent in each function and in relationships between staff and management and staff and customers are. Every year the environments in which we work change. Business, economic, social, political and financial environments do not remain static and unless all staff are prepared to evolve with them, organisations fail.
PMSL helps organisations to define where performance gaps are and how they can be filled. Not all gaps can be filled by training. Some need coaching, some process adjustments, some require the re-framing of the management architecture and in some cases re-organisation is needed. All of these options require planned staff development.
When environmental changes are affecting organisations' bottom lines, staff development should be the first resort, not the last one. When markets fall and the economy darkens the immediate response should be customer service training and upgrade. PMSL has a special unit set up to help you with this.
